WTF is RBC?
It’s an awesome idea by Shaun Bythell of The Bookshop fame (and The Diary Of A Bookseller fame, too).
It’s a book club that sends you books every quarter without you knowing what books you’ll receive, but you’ll still end up loving them. We’re doing it for the thrill, not the money.
What kind of books will I receive?
Good books. Great books. Awesome books.
Also, English books. Used books. Fiction only. All carefully curated by the once-proprietor of Prague’s secret bookstore called There’s No Bookstore.
How often will I receive shipments?
Every 3 months. At the beginning of a quarter – so early January, April, July and October.
And how many books?
You get 3 books in each shipment from us.
How does it all work?
You join, pay your 1st year membership via secure PayPal payment and then we add you to our next quarterly book shipment.
How can I quit my membership?
Oh nooo! What have we done?!
Well, we’re sad to see you go, but we won’t hold you back. Just drop us an email to hello@randombookclub.cz and we’ll sort it all out for you.
Can I tell you what I want to read?
Sure, you can. But it won’t have any effect on what we send you.
We believe in the thrill of the unknown. The adventure of postal packages opening. In the overwhelming power of great and unexpected books to delight its readers.
What are my member responsibilities?
Not much, just pay your membership, kick back, open your parcels and read the books (we don’t insist, but we always thought that was kinda the point of getting books).
But if you feel very energetic and productive today, we’d definitely appreciate if you spread the word. Tell your friends, post about us on social media for your estranged family members, write a blog for your enemies to read.
